This unique model is carved from one piece of beech wood. Engraved on this model is Mount Ararat, which is a national symbol of Armenia and is considered a "Holy Mountain." According to the Book of Genesis, after the flood, Noah's ark descended on Ararat. Ararat consists of two peaks. The traditional Armenian name for the greater peak is Masis (5165 M), and the smaller one is called Sis (3925 m).

This model is hand-processed. It is varnished. The hinges and locks are made of brass. The entire playing field is hand carved of one piece of wood. The other side of the backgammon is designed for the game of checkers.
